Missoula is one of the best places in the state to be if you love hiking. The city itself is surrounded by the Bitterroot and Mission mountains. Within the city there are more than 500 acres of city parkland, 26 miles of trails, and 3,300 acres of conservation lands. With hundreds of trails to choose from, one could spend a lifetime hiking a new trail every day and Old Sawmill District sits at the hub of the trail system. Missoulians love biking and luckily many of those same hiking trails double as biking trails. Rain, snow, sleet, hail or shine – you’ll find at least one biker on the streets or mountains of Missoula.
